Dr Helen Walsh graduated with honours from University College Cork in 1992.
She spent 7 years in the UK in general practice. Following her return to Ireland, she spent two years in a group practice in Dublin before taking over this practice in 2001. The practice has since been expanded and developed into a modern 3 surgery practice. She completed a 2 year post-grad programme at Dublin Dental Hospital in 2007. Whilst living and working in the UK she trained at Guys Hospital in the field of sedation dentistry. Her post graduate training qualifications include the fields of Endodontics (Root Canal treatments), Prosthodontics (Veneers, Crowns and Bridges, as well as cosmetic dentistry), Sedation (for nervous patients) and most recently Facial Aesthetics (Botox and Dermal Fillers) at Harley Street.
She is a member of the Irish Dental Association where she is now the immediate past chairperson of the General Practitioners Committee-this role involves representation of the associations member dentists on a variety of issues, and dealings with the relevant government departments as appropriate. Dr Walsh is committed to post-graduate development and attends post graduate courses and conferences on all aspects of General Dentistry on a regular basis.
